Hey,

President | CEO for The Blue River Group

Jonathan Clay began his career in the construction industry in 1984 as an engineer’s assistant at a design-build specialty contractor. Over the past 30 years, Jonathan has managed the construction process as a construction manager / general contractor, program manager, owner’s representative, and a specialty/trade contractor. His years of experience working for firms in these various roles shaped his unique perspective of the construction industry and resulted in his desire to create an entity that effectively manages these partners in a cohesive team working to meet his client’s construction needs.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Jonathan Clay over a number of years on both new construction and renovation projects. My project experience with Mr. Clay goes back to 1996 and has continued on various projects including one at Spelman College – an historic renovation at Packard Hall and a complete, fast-paced overhaul of the Georgia Tech Houston Building. In my opinion, he exemplifies the characteristics needed for the successful completion of complex construction projects. They look comprehensively at the needs of a project and they try to take into consideration the needs of not only the Contractor, but of the Owner and Architect. As a Program Manager who represents the Owner, I have found this quite refreshing as it is not always the norm for General Contractors. Their planning, eye toward detail, management of subcontractors and spirit of teamwork definitely make a difference regarding the inner workings of the project team and the successful outcome of projects."
