Mr. Leroux began working with his partner’s Bob Feinstein in 1985 and Jonathan Clay in 1993. In 2004, Larry and his partners founded The Blue River Group to fulfill their desire to create an organization based upon providing the highest level of customer service available in the construction industry. Larry possesses a strong passion for service. He doesn't want to just get the job done, he keeps his eye on the details thereby creating tremendous value for his clients. His expertise not only satisfies their construction needs today but cultivates long term relationships where he becomes an asset to their team as a strategic construction partner.
Larry began his career in the construction industry in 1973 as an apprentice carpenter and was quickly promoted to superintendent overseeing many high profile, technically difficult projects. During the past three decades, he has gained considerable construction experience in the high-rise, telecommunications, hospitality, higher education, multifamily and retail markets. He also has extensive renovation experience, much of which was gained working in operational facilities and on tight downtown construction sites. Larry is passionate about the details of the construction process. This combined with his vast technical knowledge of planning, scheduling and constructing difficult projects under budget and ahead of schedule allows Larry to be considered an expert builder by many of his industry peers.
At his previous firm, a mid-sized regional general contractor based in Atlanta, Georgia, Larry was promoted through the ranks from superintendent in 1984 to eventually become its executive vice president, owner, and member of the board of directors, prior to leaving to establish The Blue River Group. As executive vice president, Larry oversaw the company’s work in higher education, hospitality, telecommunications and multifamily markets. He was responsible for all aspects of work completed in his market sectors including strategic planning, business development and operations oversight.
As part of the mission of The Blue River Group, Larry is deeply involved in the day to day management of The Blue River Group’s individual projects to which he is assigned. Larry is responsible for the overall strategic direction and executive management of the firm. In addition, he oversees the corporate IT and human resource functions as well as the corporate safety program.
