After more than 25 years working with various clients in the construction industry, Mr. Feinstein realized that the industry was changing. He, much like the other co-founders of The Blue River Group, saw a shift in the way client relationships should be managed. Bob has a deep seated passion for the construction industry, and decided to operate with a new vision. The Blue River Group is the culmination of that vision.
Mr. Feinstein began his career in the estimating department of a mid-sized regional general contractor in Atlanta, Georgia. After a short time in estimating Bob moved to operations of that firm and was later promoted to project manager, construction manager and prior to leaving that organization to form The Blue River Group in 2004 had become an owner, member of its board of directors, an executive vice president overseeing the company’s institutional market where he focused on federal, state and county government work, K-12 and religious institution markets. During his tenure there his experience included work in the retail, academic/lab, high-tech, government/institutional, transportation and assisted living/healthcare markets. Bob played an instrumental role in expanding the company’s geographic reach through the company’s national account with a national telecommunications company.
As a principal and founder of The Blue River Group, Bob is responsible for the overall strategic direction and executive management of the firm. As part of The Blue River Group’s mission to have principal level involvement in the day to day management of all projects, Bob has led The Blue River Group’s team on several high profile projects. He also oversees the company’s financial affairs as well as manages corporate risk management.
Bob gained his Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the University of Florida and earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Columbia University.
Bob is a member of the Rotary Club of Marietta and currently serves on its board of directors where he acts as liaison to the Rotary International Foundation. Bob was awarded Rotary Club’s James T. Anderson Leadership Award in June of 2006 for his work with Boys and Girls Club’s Bookville Reading Program, and has participated in the Rotary Club’s philanthropic mission trip to Vietnam to deliver toys, school supplies and medical supplies to orphanages and schools as well as delivering wheelchairs to people disabled by violence or birth defects resulting from environmental hazards.
